  1. Hey there, any festivals in Croatia during beginning of August? We will be there August 1-7 and it seems we’ve missed all the good ones? Any recommendations welcome ;) thanks

  2. Good morning all the way from South Africa, any fun in May? I leave the 4th then zagreb, pula, radar then split back by train. Any interesting things happening from the 4 to the 20th. Travelling alone so any advice will be so appreciated………

  3. Hey there I was going through your list. Which is a very nice list by the way. I am headed to Croatia this summer to DJ at one of these many festivals and was seeing what else might be going down while I am there. I noticed that the festival I am playing at is not on your list and thought you and your readers may be interested in it. It is called the Kanegra Beach Festival. The Dates are Aug 8-9. It is in Umag and it is going on its 5th year now. Past years they have had the likes of Umek and Seb Fontaine. This year they have an amazing line up as well with headliners consisting of Kevin Saunderson, Nic Fanciulli, Stacey Pullen and Matador along with myself and many more. Its a really awesome festival from what I have been told and Im looking forward heading out there. Hopefully you will check it out and add it to your list. Thanks!!

  4. This year I heard, will be the best ever with Ultra in Split! People around who have nothing in common with the fest started to think about it, and finally become aware of how big the festival is…
All, take few days more to visit around, there’s so much to see!

  5. Thank you Frank, we’re just planning the trip now so still pretty open on our exact destinations. Would like to visit Dubrovnik, Zadar, Plitvice Lakes, Krka, sail some islands. As we’ll have the two little ones in tow, will want to make it fairly easy and relaxed – swimming at nice beaches, eating good food, and I like the sound of the light show and sea organ at Zadar. Is there anywhere you’d say is ‘not to be missed’? Am enjoying reading your blog :)

  6. Hi Leigh, thanks for stopping by. What destination are you visiting in Croatia? Let me know and I’ll check if there is any festival for the whole family. There is a nice Salsa festival in June in Rovinj (but you are coming in August, so that’s not good for you :-).

  7. Hi Frank… Do you know of any music festivals in Croatia where you can take small children, aged 1 and 2? We just want to dance with them and have a good time – we would enjoy any type of music. All those above look like heaps of fun, but are they all for adults only? :-) We’ll be there in Aug/Sept 2014. Thanks :)

  8. I was in Split last summer during Ultra, and will be again this summer. I am *hoping* to get a ticket, but they were sold out already last time I checked. If not, I know a nice little spot where you can hear everything and dance the night (or day in our case) away!

  9. Thanks for your feedback! We haven’t attended Soundwave and it’s great to have a testimonial from someone who actually did! Thanks, again.

  10. Alex and I went to Soundwave two years ago and we had an amazing time. It is definitely a smaller festival which was our style. The bands are eclectic and it was worth going just to see Riot Jazz perform. Hopefully we will make it there again next year or maybe one of these other festivals. Any excuse to go to Croatia really :)
