Restaurant Puli Pineta is one of the well kept secrets on Istrian food scene.
Frank had some friends visiting from Zagreb. They wanted to taste something authentic, yet different. Somebody suggested restaurant Puli Pineta, a small family-run restaurant near village of Zminj. It is a small place, with maybe 5 tables, huge open fireplace and small terrace. The owner Josip Pino Kuhar is the head chef at restaurant.

Restaurant Spinnaker Porec is located at the Porec seaside promenade. A la carte restaurant with a nice terrace for dining al fresco, Restaurant Spinnaker Porec is part of Hotel Valamar Riviera. Frank thinks that being a part of the hotel makes a great injustice to the restaurant because people go less there compared with neighboring restaurants. Restaurant Martin Pescador is located in a little village Trget, not far from Rabac. Trget is a typical fishing village in Istria. To reach Restaurant Martin Pescador, you need to take a road that looks like abolished a long time ago. It runs along river Rasa. You would pass by funny looking port Rasa and a custom terminal.
