Love, love, love Istria! Seriously, when it comes to food there is no better place in Croatia to visit. We've been in Zagreb recently, and although there are some great restaurants in Zagreb, bustling with people, nothing compares with Istrian restaurants.
Vrh might be a barley pronounceable name, but it's a great restaurant worth seeking out. Located in the village of the same name, this family-run restaurant is loved by locals and foodies for few things: for tartufo vero, or a real Istrian truffle (including praised white truffle); for boskarin peka (braised Istrian ox), laid-back atmosphere, and friendly owners.
I've heard all kinds of comments about the restaurant Blu Rovinj: from favorable comments praising Blu's food to calling it a pretentious place with mediocre food. But there is one thing about the restaurant Blue that everybody agrees about – Blu has the best location in Rovinj.
Woo-hoo! what a day we had today in Istria! First of all the weather has been wonderful this past month. One of the best Indian summers we had in a long, long time. And since we knew that sunny days were counted (and that cold, rainy winter, like you only find in Istria, is just around the corner), we decided to get out and enjoy a full day in the nature.
