20 Istrian winemakers featured in Vinibuoni Guide 2012

This year, 20 Istrian winemakers are featured in prestigious Italian Wine Guide – Vinibuoni.  This is the first time Istrian wines were examined and presented in Vinibuoni Guide. Until 2012, the guide featured exclusively Italian wines and winemakers. Istrian wineries included in the Vinibuoni Guide 2012 are: Agrolaguna, Benvenuti, Capo, Clai, Coronica, Degrassi, Franc Arman, Gerzinic, Kabola, Legovina, Matosevic, Franko Radovan, Ristosa vina, Rossi Marino, Tercolo, Tomaz, Trapan, Cattunar, Kozlovic & Zigante.

Vinibuoni is the only Italian Wine Guide promoting exclusively wine made of the grapes native to the local area. The selection is very transparent, over 80 experts do the tastings, and the finalist are awarded either with Corona (Crown) or Golden Star Award. Crown Award is the top award given to the best wines of excellence, chosen mostly by the public vote of the tasting committee. Golden Star Award is the second highest award given to the wines expressing elegance, finesse, balance and quality.

  • Teran 2008, Benvenuti
  • Sv. Jakov 2009 (Istrian Malvasia), Clai
