ATP Croatia Open Umag, now at its 24th edition, is the oldest and the most popular tennis tournament in Croatia. It is part of ATP World Tour 250 series. ATP Croatia Open Umag takes place in a small resort town of Umag, in north-west Istria. This ATP tournament has always been famous,
not only for tennis, but for its abundant entertainment and gourmet program. ATP Croatia Open Umag takes place every July. It is visited by more than 80.000 people.
ATP Croatia Open Umag has a draw of 28 for singles and 16 for doubles. Some of this year players are: Marin Cilic of Croatia, Gael Monfils and Richard Gasquet of France, Fernando Verdasco of Spain, Polish Jerzy Janowicz, Alexandr Dolgolpolov of Ukrania, Andreas Seppi of Italy, etc…
The surface is clay. Even 7 players, who at one time or another were listed no. 1 on ATP rankings, played in Umag. They are: Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, juan Carlos Ferrero, Gustavo Kuerten, Carlos Moya, Marcelo Rios and Thomas Muster.
ATP Croatia Open Umag is, beside tennis tournament, famous for its abundant entertainment program. During the tournament, there are more than 100 hours of entertainment going on in Umag. Numerous concerts, DJ parties, unplugged evening entertainment, etc… The best of all, free entrance for the entire entertainment.
This year entertainment program highlights include: opening concert of a Croatian singer Tony Cetinski on Saturday July, 20, party with a DJ Thomas Gold on Friday July, 26, and closing concert of British singer Gabrielle on Saturday July 27.

Fine dining, casual dining, and lots of wine tasting, it’s all part of Istria Gourmet Festival in Umag. Istria Gourmet restaurant showcases the best Istrian restaurants and international Michelin starred restaurants promoting Istrian region to tournament visitors.
At Istria Gourmet restaurant you’ll find themed dinners, tastings and show cooking. It is supported by Association of Young European Chefs (Jeuns Restaurateurs d’Europe), whose member restaurants are always the central point of the gourmet program. Our cuisine (Nasa kuzina) is conceptually different and more accessible and affordable restaurant at Istria Gourmet festival. Three best restaurants from north-west Istria showcase Istrian comfort food at affordable prices. At this restaurant, visitors also have an opportunity for wine tasting. Wine tasting happens daily at 8.00 p.m. and it lasts for one hour.
Vinistra, association of winegrowers and winemakers of Istria, promotes Istrian wines to the visitors. Vinistra is open daily from 7.00 p.m. until 4.00 a.m. Taste Istria gourmet zone will offer the best Istrian produce, as goat and sheep cheese, prosciutto, truffles, and wine. For 15 kn (approx. 2.00 euro), you can get a sample of each product offered.
